The Best Dinuguan or Pork Blood Stew in UK

“Mullo” or “Dinuguan” Mullo with Soup

Favorite traditional meal of the Ilokanos from the Philippines Countryside – Ilocos, of which the main ingredients is pig blood, pork meat and pork internal organs. This is one of the best Ilokano or Ilocano recipe.

In this menu, as we are in the UK, pure pig blood is not available for sale here especially the fresh one, instead, the only pig blood base that found mostly in the supermarkets is called “Black Pudding” .

Black pudding, also known as blood pudding, is a distinct regional type of blood sausage originating in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is made from pork blood, with pork fat or beef suet, and a cereal, usually  oatmeal,  oat groats  or barley  groats. The high proportion of cereal, along with the use of certain herbs such as pennyroyal, serves to distinguish black pudding from blood sausages eaten in other parts of the world (source: Wikipedia).
