…Has managed to improve LRT MRT services, including operation of basic but convenient facilities like escalators and elevators.

… Has required the entire government to eliminate long lines or queue by ordinary people, and also simplify government transactions. For instance, drivers license are now valid for 5 years while passports will be valid for 10 years. Meanwhile, all permits and licenses and documents like NSO certificates, Seamans’ book should be released in 3 days.

…Has managed to sign an FOI for the executive branch of government, the only chief executive to do so.

… Has managed to significantly improve disaster preparedness and relief operations plus proper use and spend of government resources.

…Has managed to adopt changes in the agricultural sector to enable the country to be self reliant in food production and distribution. Most importantly, he ordered the DA to implement FREE IRRIGATION nationwide.

…Has paved the way to genuine land reform as well as directing the release of coco levy funds to the real beneficiaries.

Gordon seeks probes on hash code change, transport system

MANILA – Returning Senator-elect Richard “Dick” Gordon on Thursday said that his first agenda upon his assumption to office in the Senate is to investigate the sudden change of the hash code in the transparency server of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) Center.

In an interview after he was officially proclaimed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Gordon also wanted to investigate the dismal failure of our transportation system.

Gordon, who placed 5^th at the final tally of the NBOC garnering 16,297,838 votes, said he would call for a briefing from the Comelec, Smartmatic and other stakeholders of the latest elections to gather facts on the altering of the hash code.

“The alteration per se doesn’t seem to be a bad deal, but the timing is a very bad deal. Especially that alteration, apparently, I don’t know whether it is coincidence or deliberate, it resulted in a sudden rush of votes for other candidates. So with that sense, we should investigate,” Gordon said.

He said he will call the attention of Smartmatic and other parties to check their facts and allegations before making an investigation.

“Let me check the facts, I have to look into everything, you know I don’t shoot from the hip,” Gordon said.

Earlier, Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. cried foul at the sudden cancellation of the Senate hearing on the Automated Election System (AES).

In a statement, Marcos said the hearing was intended to clarify the alteration of the script in the transparency server, which impacts significantly on the sanctity and integrity of the electoral system.

“Smartmatic officials owe the public a clearer explanation, rather than a cursory excuse, why they can’t participate,” Marcos said.

Marcos said that the hearing was not pursued due to a “last minute” notice from Smartmatic, the technology provider of the Comelec, that they could not attend.

“Smartmatic has been quick to claim that such change was merely cosmetic and did not in any way alter the results of the elections. If that is so, we expect them to be the ones eager to take advantage of the opportunity which the hearing is providing to settle the issue,” Marcos said.

Transport probe

Meanwhile, Gordon also said he would initiate a deeper investigation into the dismal failure of our transport system, which was highlighted by a brownout at the airport and the breakdown of trains of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT).

“We have to rationalize the system. I may have an investigation on the actual state of our ports. Why are we not competitive? Why are our airplanes always delayed? Why are we not opening Subic and Clark? Why are we not expanding some of our airports which some have to be expanded?” Gordon asked.

With this, Gordon, former tourism secretary in 2003, said he will also summon the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) during the budget hearing why they are not honoring the tax incentives given to tourist service-oriented establishments.

“We would like also to investigate why the BIR did not allow incentives to more hotels, more investments,” Gordon said.

Commending Comelec

Gordon also commended the Comelec for a job well done.

“The Comelec did a relative good job here. We had to squeeze it out of them. We thank them for having implemented it. They could not easily have implemented it – if we recall – but they did it,” Gordon said.

Also, Gordon vowed to push for the enactment of the law against contractualization.

“I am supportive on that, we should take advantage of our people anymore. Mahirap walang benepisyo ang mga taong nagtatrabaho,” Gordon said.

On the introduction of their post, they expressed gratitude for President Aquino.

“For the record, I just want to say that I have huge respect and thankfulness for President Noynoy Aquino. Inspite the bashing from many, in comparison to previous administrations, President Noy(with all his flaws and mistakes) has done great good for our country—and I give him honor where honor is due.”

INITIAL DOUBTS

“I love President Noynoy Aquino for the LIFT he gave our country from the previous regime, but until today our issues on transportation systems (from the MRT to the Airport) are still in a mess, with VERY MINIMUM ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE WRONG. Wanna check Yolanda funds for accountability?”

“Or how many have you seen convicted of hazing deaths? ZERO. Powerful government officials(belonging to the same fraternities) fly the murderers out of the country until we all forget. You won’t forget if the hazing death is your son.”

“When you pay steep taxes and CANNOT see a simple walkalator operate in your own airport, or roads repeatedly break into potholes after moderate rain…”

“Isn’t it true, what foreigners say, that most government transactions require some form of “under the table” fees to get through the RED TAPE? MAINTAINANCE VS. RAISING THE STANDARD HIGHER

“I’ll say it again: P-Noy has lifted us up, but there is STILL SO MUCH THAT I DON’T WANT MAINTAINED or CONTINUED in “Daang Matuwid.”
I believe this country deserves BETTER—-someone to RAISE THE STANDARD HIGHER.”

“I also do NOT agree with those who say “do not vote for Duterte because he is a womanizer and he curses a lot…” Maybe to them THE PRIMARY ROLE of governance is a SQUEAKY CLEAN MORAL IMAGE or DIPLOMATIC EXCELLENCE. If that’s the case, Grace Poe and Mar Roxas can easily fit those roles.”

“But if you, like me, believe that THE PRIMARY ROLE of government is to RESTRAIN and PUNISH EVIL, GIVE BACK JUSTICE to the Filipinos who are so tired of living without it, then Duterte is your ONLY CHOICE.”

“I will NOT choose another candidate OUT OF FEAR OF DUTERTE. I choose Duterte out of strong FAITH in him.”

“I say, Go Duterte, give the Philippines hope in CHANGING THE EVIL WE HAVE BECOME SO ACCUSTOMED TO!”

Marcos todo arangkada sa VP race

MANILA, Philippines – Umarangkada nang tuluyan ang kandidatura ni Senador Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. at napanatili nya ang pagiging nasa unang pwesto sa pinakahuling survey sa vice presidential race.

Sa pinakahuling non-commissioned Pulso ng Pilipino survey na ginawa ng Issues and Advocacy Center mula April 1 to 7, 2016, nanguna pa rin si Marcos sa puntos na 28.5 percent, mas mataas mula sa 27 percent na nakuha n’ya noong March 16-22, 2016 na ginawa din ng IAC.

Nasa pangalawang pwesto si Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo na may 23.5 percent. Naungusan nya si Sen. Francis Escudero na nakakuha ng 22.5 percent. Pumang-apat si Sen. Allan Peter Cayetano na may 16 percent. Sinundan siya ni Sen. Gregorio Honasan na may 4.25 percent at Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV na may 3.75 percent. 1.75 percent naman ang Undecided.

Nanguna si Marcos A/B (27 percent), D (23 percent) at E (24 percent) socio-economic classes.

Sinabi ni Ed Malay, Director of IAC, na ang survey, na parte ng kanilang adbokasiya na bigyan ng impormasyon ang publiko ukol sa mga tumatakbo sa May 9, 2016 elections, ay may confidence level na 98 percent at margin of error na plus or minus 2.5 percent.

Sa presidential race, nanguna pa rin si Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte na may 29 percent, na sinundan ni Sen. Grace Poe sa 24 percent.

Nasa pangatlong pwesto si Vice President Jejomar Binay na may 22 percent na sinundan ni dating Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas na may 19 percent.

Si Senador Miriam Defensor Santiago ay nasa pang-limang pwesto na may 2.3 percent ang Undecided. Ani Malay ang pagtaas ng suporta kay Marcos ay dahil sa mga Marcos loyalists na hindi lamang mula sa Solid North ngunit matatagpuan sa buong bansa.

Kaya para sa inyong hindi siya kilala at bulag sa katotohanan, let me say this. He is actually making a sacrifice to us. Let him be the sinner, let him do the dirty work. Because he said, he must do the things that he must do as ugly as it can be because nobody in the government will do it for the people. In the end, only God can judge him on the things that he’s done.

Kaya kung gusto niyo isang Pangulo na isang magandang ROLE MODEL, iboto niyo si Mar Roxas. Prim and proper, busilak at mabulaklak magsalita, makamasa sa pictorial, good-boy image. Ganon lang naman ka simple yon. Wag niyong iboto si Duterte dahil masama siyang ehemplo at pangit kanyang image.

Pero kung gusto niyo ng TUNAY NA PAGBABAGO, alam niyo na ang sagot.

On my way to Divisoria, I decided to take the PNR Train to Tutuban from Pasay to save time and money. I can rough it real hard whenever needed. Traffic jam was in its usual terrible state, nagmamadali na ako. Kebs naman ang makipag siksikan. To be fair, bilib ako sa train stations. No fuss, pero precise ang information (train sched) and people who man the stations are nice.

Eto lang. Ang tao mismo problema. For one, daming basura sa riles. Mananapak na talaga ako ng tao sa mukha pag makita ko na di sila marunong mag tapon ng tama. Then when getting on/off the train, people just squeeze and shout, gambling their lives. Then the sights. Shanties with naked hungry children everywhere, ang dumi dumi. During the ride, I pondered. Who among our presidential candidates can change these things?

Grace Poe. As much as she impressed me during the live debate, I do not think our country needs a graceful thinking mother. She does have plans, she knows the numbers, parang Nanay na alam ang diskarte sa budget ng bahay. Pag kasama mo siya sa tren, siya yung yayakap sa’yo at sasabihin

To be a great country, we need to be great people. No matter how nice Poe’s plans are, no matter how solid Miriam’s promises are, it will not address the core problem: Us. And Duterte will instill fear. Terror perhaps. We do need radical change. Desperate times call for desperate measure.

Nakita na natin ang Mar Roxas kay Pnoy, same elitists (complete with showbiz friends). Nakita na natin ang Trapo ilan beses na. And come on, sa patalastas palang eh tagos na tagos na ang ka plastikan. Ma e-equate ba natin na nakita na natin si Duterte kay Macoy? Nah. Wala namang cronies ito. And tignan mo lang ang Davao, nang malaman mo. Nung panahon ng Yolanda, andun siya, a real Man of Action. Siya mismo nag bigay food and care straight to the victims walang parada ng press. Sa pag laban sa droga at iba pang krimen, parang Batman nga ang dating ni Duterte. Yun nga lang, si Bruce Wayne sa asylum nilalagay ang kalaban. Si Duterte sa impyerno. As much as killing people goes against my moral core, kung baga sa baraha, huling alas ko na si Duterte.

Siya nga ang tipong Tatay na pipingutin ka pag naka kalat mga gamit mo sa sala. Ang tipong Tatay na papaluhurin ka sa asin pag ang report card mo puro bokya. Pero siya rin ang tipong Tatay na aabangan ka sa sala kahit madaling araw maka siguro lang na safe ka. Siya yung pag nasa mall kayo at pagod ka na, kakargahin ka sa balikat niya na may ngiti pa. Siya yung tipong Tatay na bibigay sayo yung pagkain niya pag bitin ka, kahit na gutom siya. Siya yung unang luluha pag nakita ka niyang tumanggap ng diploma. Lalong lalo na siyang tipong Tatay na sasapak sa manliligaw mong bastos.

Rody Duterte is running for president. He wants to fix this country with all his heart. But he cannot do it alone. Like I said, to be a great country we need to be great people. Rody Duterte is the kind of guy who can wake up the greatness in all of us by challenging us, by facing all criminals with no political ambitions, by being frank (di siya makikipag plastikan sa atin), by citing what we should be and what we can do. Diba nga, siya yung tipong Tatay who will push us to the top even if it means grounded tayo mag DoTA o grounded makipag date.

Pag lapag ng paa ko sa Tutuban, malinaw na kung sino… Si Rody Duterte yung bobotohin ko kasi alam ko pag nanalo siya first option ko na ang tren tuwing pupunta ako ng Divisoria. Kasi alam kong malinis na ang kapaligiran, disiplinado na mga tao, at wala nang mga hubad na bata sa riles. Siya ang magpapabago sa atin at ng bansa natin.

Noon alas ko si Gordon. Di ko malaan bakit pinili ng mga Pilipino yung pinaka walang laman ang utak, este, track record. Gordon had the same principle: be great together by being great yourself kaya siya parati nag uudyok na tayo’y mag volunteer. Duterte is asking the same thing. Even with his campaign, he has no money to have TV ads, no money for posters and billboards. He’s saying we can make noise for him. So if you are for Duterte, please campaign for him. To my friends in advertising and film making, if you’re for Duterte, do this country a favor and make something for him! Huling alas na natin si ‪#‎DU30‬ para sa pagbabago.
